HISTORY
In 1984 Richard Darcey began Midland Tractors, the southern Tasmania dealer for the John Deere products. He was a one man operation in the beginning, completing spare parts and office duties in the morning and closing the shop at 2pm to go out on the road selling and completing field service. The business steadily grew with a strong emphasis on service. In 1994 Midland Tractors expanded to become the northern dealers for John Deere tractors, commercial equipment, residential products and golf and turf equipment. Today Midland Tractors operates out of three locations, Longford in the north, Montrose in the south and Latrobe in the north west. We employ 26 staff in the three stores and still have a strong emphasis on service, a philosophy which consistently ranks us the market leader in our area. Midland Tractors is proud to be a part of the Tasmanian agricultural industry.
